What would you think of a squirrel who’s a thief?
Who conducts all her robberies dressed up like a leaf.
This bushy-tailed critter steals from the bird feeder,
And ambushes other squirrels in the red cedar.
This unscrupulous squirrel especially steals nuts,
But she also takes Cheetos and cigarette butts.
This burglar takes Legos from tiny baby mice,
She steals Pop Tarts and corn – it’s definitely her vice.
She steals trinkets and bobbles left lying around,
This burglar takes treasures and buries them underground.
Some things she eats, others she simply stashes away,
Able to camouflage in her leafy array.
Detectives tracked her and down they descended,
Our notorious squirrel-thief was caught apprehended.
Now, locked up in prison, y’know, it’s as they say:
You do evil deeds and crime doesn’t pay.
