Would folks come to see it, much lacking in its girth?
While driving in the Black Hills, it gives you quite a shock
To see those presidential heads carved out of granite rock.
Would folks travel to encounter China’s Great Wall
If it were diminutive, being rather small?
Would folks visit the Coliseum in Rome
If it were sized to accommodate a gnome?
There’d be no interest in Eiffel’s Tower, I’ll bet
If it were tiny as a child’s metal erector set.
Do you think it was purely accidental
To make George Washington’s monumental?
These impressive features cause you to flatter
So it’s true what they say: Size truly does matter!
